Chris Waterhouse notched the 12th minute winner for the Wulfs by climbing high above the Halesowen defence to head home directly from Jake Webb's corner.

Visiting goalkeeper Daniel Tipton made a good blocking save from Isaac Cooper's 31st minute wide-angled shot and then gathered a 25 yard low skidding drive from home captain Danny Bragoli just before the interval. At the start of the second half Kyle Minto skipped through the home defence before striking the side-netting and Tipton held onto a fierce shot from Halesowen's Cooper.

There was little evidence of the two league difference in status between the two sides and the Wulfs almost increased their lead when Webb worked free down the left after 66 minutes but he lashed over the bar. John Hill then went even closer by hitting the post.
