Tottenham lead chase for Aston Villa star Jack Grealish
Tottenham remain hot favourites to sign Villa’s Jack Grealish – with reports linking the playmaker with Liverpool rubbished in the north west.
Grealish, 22, is with the Villa squad in training in Portugal and remains certain to move on this summer with north London the likely destination – though Villa aim to hold out as long as possible to raise the transfer fee above Spurs’ current valuation.
Reports yesterday suggested Liverpool were interested in entering the race but sources close to the club ruled out a move yesterday.
Elsewhere, goal-getter Lewis Grabban snuffed out any lingering hopes of another loan to the claret and blues when he signed a £6million move from Bournemouth to Nottingham Forest. And Dan Donachie, Villa’s departing head of medicine and sports science, is expected to rejoin his former employer Everton.
