How much more can Aston Villa fans take?

I'm not quite sure just how much more us Aston Villa fans can take, writes Justin Hawthorne.

This is, without question this has been the most difficult season I've ever had the misfortune to watch as a fan.

And there is no sign of the light at the end of the tunnel for a long while yet.

Saturday was yet another loss in a season of losses and miserable days out for the long-suffering masses that continue to follow the team.

We come in our thousands up and down the country and, once again, very little fight was shown, which has become the norm this season.

There was very little quality, especially in the final third. The silence from the club's top brass continues to be deafening, too.

We can only pray that someone somewhere can drag the sorry mess that was once a proud club.

The standard bearer for our region out of the depths of despair and give us something, anything to cling onto. We now approach the Everton game. where the 74th minute walk out will take place.

I fear the biggest barrier to this protest actually working now is will there be enough fans that actually go to the game in the first place to walk out!

I, for one, have decided I can't watch anymore. I can't take watching players that don't care or won't throw everything into one last vain attempt to stave off the now inevitable relegation.

The only way the current chairman will act quickly and decisively is if we stay away. Then and only then I believe he will have to act.

As for renewing for next season, as much as it will hurt I currently just can't see me buying one. They have finally broken me and for that I will never forgive owner Randy Lerner. NEVER!
