FIFA has confirmed the international break schedule for next season - with changes early in the season and into 2027.

And it has been confirmed that the international break scheduled for March will run from March 22 to March 30.

This covers the Easter weekend - when traditionally EFL fixtures take place on both Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday.

However, due to the new international schedule, no games will take place across that weekend during the 2026/27 season.

League One and Two matches will go ahead as usual - although fixtures are routinely called off due to international call-ups.

Elsewhere, it has been confirmed that there is a major change to both the September and October international breaks.

Those two breaks have been merged from the start of next season - meaning they will run for two weeks between September 21 and October 6.
