Saints and no sinner as Jack Grealish's exile to continue
Remi Garde looks set to prolong Jack Grealish's exile from Villa's first team squad for another week.
It is understood Garde has ordered 20-year-old Grealish to continue to train with Villa's development squad since being photographed at a Manchester nightclub hours after Villa were thrashed 4-0 by Everton.
The news will come as a blow to Solihull-born Grealish, after talk that the Villa boss was prepared to bring him back into the first team reckoning for Saturday's trip to Southampton.
Garde had branded the talented youngster's actions as 'unprofessional' , adding: "You have to behave as a professional and it was not the case this time for Jack.
"He will not play with us, which is already a big punishment for a player."
One player who is in Garde's good books, however, is skipper Micah Richards, who scored with a towering header and
was also head-and-shoulders above the rest of the side in terms of performance in the defeat to Watford last weekend.
"Micah's experience is very important for this group," said Garde.
"When your leader is scoring, it is something that is very strong. I hope it will give Micah a stronger feeling to be winning games and scoring goals."
