In some respects it is no huge surprise Mark Robinson will no longer be Warwickshire’s head coach heading into the 2025 season.
Or, to be more precise, it would have been no huge surprise had you learned that news last autumn, after the county launched what it described as a high-performance review following a disappointing 2024 campaign.
But with less than two months to go until the start of the new season, the assumption was Robinson had survived to fight for at least another year.
