Birmingham today rejected a £3million 'take it or leave it' offer from Fulham for striker Cameron Jerome.

Fulham made their move for the Blues frontman with the start of the new Premier League season just 10 days away, but it's understood the Cottagers will not come back with a higher bid.

Blues are under pressure to sell players after relegation from the top flight but have already rebuffed one offer for Jerome, a joint bid for him and one-time Walsall defender Scott Dann.

Bolton are also keen on Jerome but no-one has yet to meet Blues' asking price for the 24-year-old, who came to St Andrew's from Cardiff for £4million in 2006.

The former England under-21 international struggled with the team last season after scoring just three league goals with the last, ironically, coming at Stoke in November.

Blues manager Chris Hughton appears resigned to his exit, having already failed in a loan bid for Newcastle's Nile Ranger while there has been interest in former Villa favourite John Carew.
