Hands off Stephen Carr warn Blues

Birmingham manager Chris Hughton has insisted captain Stephen Carr is going nowhere.

Right-back Carr, aged 34, has been linked with Wolves, Stoke and Queens Park Rangers recently, but Hughton insisted: "There's speculation about lots of players, but as for him, absolutely not, he's the club captain."

Former Wolves midfielder David Jones has reportedly rejected a move to Blues over fears about their finances and promotion prospects.

Hughton added: "He's a player we've spoken to, but as with all players, wait and see.

"They have to look at the options they've got."
