Albion did get back in the game with Josh Maja - but then shipped two poor late goals as Eric Ramsay’s search for a win goes on.

Jonny Drury looks at some quick fire points to come from the game:

Selection shows priority

Albion’s selection was still relatively senior aside from a handful of players - but Ramsay’s selection underlined that the cup is a sideshow.

We all knew that. They were bang in the tie until the final few minutes - and it was disappointing to go out.

But Ramsay’s comments after showed that he wasn’t overly concerned by the cup exit.

It isn’t to say he doesn’t care - but he was very clear on the priorities and taking the positives out of the game.

There were a few - but not as many as Albion would have liked.

Responsibility shifts

Albion looked disjointed and that comes from a side that hasn’t really worked together too much in the past.
