Boring Baggies, strangest yellow and the owner in town: Three things you may have missed from West Brom's QPR defeat
Albion slipped to their sixth straight away defeat with a disappointing 3-1 loss against QPR.
Albion conceded in first half stoppage time, and were further behind when QPR capitalised on a bad error from Alex Mowatt.
Aune Heggebo headed them back into the game from nowhere but another mistake led to a third - as they slipped to another defeat.
As boring a first period you could find
I wouldn't say there was an air of excitement, but maybe anticipation after last week's stunning comeback.
Can Albion go again, can they go and win back to back games for the first time since earlier in the season?
The answer was no after a dismal performance, and in the first half they certainly failed to replicate the Swansea second half display.
But it wasn't just Albion, it was both sides. Next to no chances and a game that just had such a lack of quality.
It was a nothing game. It was one of those where you could have reported nothing about the half, until the fourth minute of stoppage time.
It was two sides, poor sides in that first half. Two mid table sides if you will, until a lapse in concentration at the death that allowed QPR to take a lead into the break.
Arguably the most forgettable first half of the season in terms of hardly anything happening.
The second won't live long in the memory either for many different reasons.
A yellow for that?!
Above I have just said that hardly anything happened aside from the QPR goal - but there was something.

There was arguably the softest yellow card you will see all season, maybe all month. I won't go with all season because there will no doubt be something worse.
Karlan Grant had a bit of a coming together with the QPR full back, it was a foul, nothing more, no yellow at all.
Just a normal, routine foul. So when referee Gavin Ward reached for the yellow card it was baffling, absolutely baffling.
I think the QPR fans were as baffled as the Albion supporters. The Albion fans certainly voiced their opinion with a derogatory chant aimed at Ward.
What sums up Ward's performance and the inconsistency of referee's is Jonathan Varane went in studs up way off the floor and wiped out Mikey Johnston in the second half.
A word, no card. Beyond belief.
Shambles in front of the owner
Since his takeover at Albion it feels at times that Shilen Patel has been at more games than he hasn't been at - which is a massively positive thing as we have pointed out in the past.
He was in the crowd at QPR this afternoon - as he has been on the last two visits to West London.
A penny for his thoughts after what he saw Albion serve up.
His record watching Albion games has been well talked about - it is not great.
But on a serious note, he will not have been happy with that he has seen there today. This is not saying he has a decision to make regarding the future of the manager.
However, he will be well aware, like the Albion head coach, that the results and the current situation is not good enough.
