Aston Villa boss Unai Emery nominated for Premier League award
Villa boss Unai Emery has been nominated for the Premier League manager of the month award for November.
The Spaniard is on the shortlist for the second straight month after his team continued their climb up the Premier League table.
Villa were beaten 2-0 at Liverpool on the opening day of November, ending a four-match winning streak in the top flight.
But they rebounded by reeling off three straight wins to move into the top-four.
Villa thumped Bournemouth 4-0 at home before grinding out victories over Leeds and Wolves after the international break.
Emery has received countless manager of the month nominations since taking charge of Villa in November 2022, winning the prize in both April and December, 2023.
The six-man shortlist for November also includes Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who brings his team to Villa Park on Saturday.
Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola, Brighton’s Fabian Hurzeler, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca and Fulham’s Marco Silva are the other names on the list.
Fans can vote for their favourite online, with those votes then combined with those of a panel of football experts before the winner is revealed next week.
