The reigning British welterweight champion will take on Olympic silver medallist Pat McCormack in the principality on December 6.

Walker is aiming to round off a brilliant 2025, which first saw him win the Lonsdale belt with a stunning 11th round knockout of Harry Scarff and then defend it by stopping Liam Taylor in seven.

The 30-year-old said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be fighting in Monte Carlo. It’s a massive stage and a massive fight. I cannot wait.”

Walker had previously warned McCormack, who won silver at Tokyo 2020, he would be making a big mistake accepting a fight with him at such an early stage of his professional career.

But McCormack, unbeaten in eight professional bouts, has taken on the challenge, with the WBA international title expected to be on the line.

Whether Walker’s British crown will be up for grabs is currently uncertain, due to the fight taking place overseas.

McCormack said: “Me and Conah are two fighters with great momentum.

"Many thought he beat Lewis Crocker who is the current world champion, so I’m looking forward to using that to make a statement. And what better place to do it than Monte Carlo."

The bill is topped by Shropshire fighter Shabaz Masoud's first defence of his IBO super bantamweight world title against Peter McGrail.

Matchroom chairman, Eddie Hearn, said: “This really is the best card we have ever staged in the Principality.

"Monte Carlo oozes with class and, over the years, we have matched it by delivering some truly memorable nights showcasing some of the biggest and best talent in the sport."
