FA Cup draw: Walsall travel to National League side Eastleigh in first round

Walsall will face National League outfit Eastleigh at the Silverlake Stadium in the FA Cup first round.

Eastleigh, who are 13th in the fifth-tier, won 2-0 at Hampton & Richmond Borough in their fourth qualifying round tie on Saturday.

The first round fixtures will take place on the weekend of November 1-2, and will be the first meeting between these two clubs.

The Saddlers have progressed beyond the first round in each of the past four seasons, but were eliminated at the second round stage following a 4-0 home defeat against Charlton Athletic last term.

Meanwhile, Walsall loanee Ronan Maher started for Tamworth in a 1-0 win over Hyde United in their fourth qualifying round tie on Saturday. 

The Lambs, who famously reached the third round last season, have been drawn at home against League One side Leyton Orient.
