West Brom passed Tony Mowbray assignment in Leeds United display
Albion boss Tony Mowbray was encouraged to see his team pass the test in trying to take leaders Leeds United head on.
Head coach Mowbray promised his side would go to Elland Road to attack because he felt anything other would result in defeat to Daniel Farke's Championship leaders.
And despite conceding a poor early goal involving a couple of errors, the Baggies responded admirably and traded blows with the Whites. Darnell Furlong headed in a deserved equaliser before half-time and either side could have struck a winner in the second period.
The Baggies remain in the top six in a tightly-congested race for the play-offs and Mowbray was enthused by how his troops handled the challenge.
"We came and I was just very conscious we wouldn't be the team that sits 10 men behind the ball all game thinking we can keep Leeds United out for 90 minutes," Mowbray said.
