A lively start by Khalsa saw them lead 2-0 after 13 minutes.

Craig Bannister grabbed the first when he netted following a run and cross by Carlo Franco.

The second goal came when Bannister's free-kick hit the post and Bradley Lawley fired the rebound into the roof of the net.

It was game over just before the break when Marvin Nisbett bundled the ball home from a corner.

The clash was stopped in the 62nd minute to repair the floodlights, but after a 23-minute hold up play resumed with Khalsa comfortably seeing out the game.

Joe Pickering was the hero as Heath Hayes bagged a hard-fought 1-0 win over Pershore in Division One of the Midland Football League.

A feisty encounter resulted in 19 minutes of added time being played during which Pickering popped up with the winner with 105 minutes on the clock.
