Alex McLeish is lining up a bid for Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips as a replacement for Ashley Young.

Hibs have rejected a compensation offer from Birmingham City for Colin Calderwood.

Sunderland have signed Craig Gardner for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £6million.
