WOLVES

Mick McCarthy has warned the big clubs off of Matt Jarvis and Kevin Doyle, but admits that every player has his price saying "They are not for sale. But neither was Cristiano Ronaldo a couple of years ago, neither were Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll this season - but £50 million and £35 million changed that a little bit!"

Veteran goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann has been offered the chance to return to the USA with Seattle Sounders, with his Wolves contract set to expire at the end of the month.

ALBION

Roy Hodgson is keen on signing Fulham's Andrew Johnson, but will have to fight off competition from Premier League new boys QPR, who have been quoted £4 million for the striker.

Meanwhile, Albion target Tomasz Kuszczak has revealed that Manchester united boss Sir Alex Ferguson wants him to stay at Old Trafford.

VILLA

The rumour mill is focused on Gerard Houllier's successor this morning after the Frenchman's departure was confirmed last night. Mark Hughes and Carlo Ancelotti are said to be the early front-runners.

BLUES

The race for Swedish winger Sebastian Larsson is on after the former Birmingham City player's left the club at the end of his contract. Blackburn, Newcastle, Wigan and Sunderland are all said to be interested.

WALSALL

All quiet at the Banks's today.
