The 19-year-old is in line for his full debut against Chesterfield tonight with Steve Jones and Darren Byfield injured and Alex Nicholls suspended.
The Saddlers youngster could form a 'young and old' partnership for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Jon Macken, who is in need of match fitness.
"I'm ready. I think I'm up to it. The times I've come on I've managed to get in the game and show I can do it," said the Northern Ireland Under-19 international, who has three substitute appearances this term.
"This is a really big season for me. I have to make sure I take my chances.
"I wasn't expecting to come on so early in the season and now I want more."
