Walsall striker Alex Nicholls has admitted the team's indiscipline is costing them and insisted the players must keep their heads to avoid further trouble.
The Saddlers go to automatic promotion chasing Swindon on Saturday aiming to hit back after Tuesday's last gasp 4-3 defeat in Yorkshire – where Mark Hughes was sent off after 20 minutes.
It was the club's fifth red card in nine games and striker Nicholls believes, while it spurs the players on, they are only hurting themselves.
He said: "If you look at the last nine games, we've had five men sent off so we make it hard for ourselves.
"The lads are good as a group when things like that happen, it galvanises the team and we need to pull each other through and we've got to go into Saturday with that attitude.
"Swindon is going to be a tough game but we can go there and get the win."
But the 22-year-old, who bagged his fifth goal of the season on Tuesday, knows the players must pick themselves up for the County Ground trip.
He said: "The lads were devastated after the game. I know it sounds funny but the lads can take a lot of confidence with the way we came back, so we've got to look after ourselves for the rest of the week.
"There have been times this season, against lesser opposition, where we've come unstuck with last minute goals or poor defending but Tuesday night was gutting."
