Saddlers starlet joins Fulham

Walsall starlet Richard Peniket has joined Fulham for an undisclosed fee after rejecting a two year scholarship with the Saddlers.

The youth team striker had been courted by Manchester United but has opted for a move to the Cottagers.

Should the 16-year-old establish himself at Fulham the Saddlers will be owed addition payments.

Chief executive Roy Whalley said: "When you have so many talented players coming up you have to expect interest from other clubs."
