Potter joins Owls for season

Wolves midfielder Darren Potter has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the rest of the season.

The transfer-listed 24-year-old has yet to figure for the first team this season and, with a year left on his contract, has been allowed to join the Owls.

He becomes the second player from Molineux to go to Hillsborough on loan in a week, with Michael Gray beginning a one-month stay last Friday.

Wednesday boss Brian Laws has called Potter "another part of our plan."

The manager said: "Darren is a box to box midfielder, very athletic and he can see a pass.

"He can certainly add to our midfield. He's hungry, enthusiastic and has a desire to play football. He's another part of our plan."
