"We have given him permission to talk to both Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday. But he knows too that both Wednesday and Wolves are a long way short of the asking price we want."
Last season's League One top scorer was due at Molineux for talks yesterday but flash flooding in Sheffield prevented him from making the journey.
He is now set to visit later this week as Wolves hope to persuade him to reunite his partnership with former Scunthorpe team-mate Andy Keogh next season.
Sharp was due to talk to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday, with Owls boss Brian Laws believed to have given the 21-year-old forward until the end of the week to make a decision.
Laws, who managed Sharp for three seasons at Scunthorpe, is in the market for a forward .
"We are aware of the interest from Norwich and Wolves and Sheffield United," he said. "But he knows what I'm about."
