Extra shows added to UK’s Greatest Show on Earth Tour as tickets go on general sale but not all fans are happy
Rock legends U2 will play a total of four UK concerts in June 2027, having added additional dates to their Greatest Show on Earth Tour.
U2 initially announced two shows at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in London, on Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19.
The band will also be playing two extra shows on Tuesday, June 22, and Friday, June 25, with tickets being sold via official outlets Ticketmaster and premium ticketing site Seat Unique.
Tickets went on general sale at 10am today, Friday, November 6, but a few are unhappy with pricing with some fans being offered general standing tickets costing more than £400.
Those prepared to pay an extra few hundred quid for the privilege of avoiding the Ticketmaster queuing process will also get access to “premium bar areas” before and after the show and the chance to sit on a “premium padded seat” with Seat Unique’s entry-level VIP packages.
Hospitality and VIP tickets for all the London shows are being advertised on official VIP ticketing site Seat Unique, priced from £729.75.
One U2 fan on X branded the prices “an absolute disgrace”.
Ticketmaster says that “availability and pricing are subject to change”.
Interestingly, 24 hours after the pre-sale, U2 tickets are popping up on resale sites such as Viagogo, StubHub and VividSeats from as little as £137.
These are not official ticket outlets but allow fans to sell to other fans but official outlets such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation sometimes forbid the transfer of tickets so check terms and conditions before you spend any hard-earned cash.
The cheapest resale ticket prices for U2’s gigs at the Tottenham Stadium are currently £152 on Viagogo here; £158 on StubHub here and, over on Vivid Seats, tickets are being advertised from £137.

Viagogo, Stubhub and Vivid Seats all offer guarantees to users of their sites.
The huge excitement over the release of tickets for U2’s Greatest Show on Earth Tour has been tempered to an extent by upset over ticket prices.
One fan said on X: “Dynamic rip-off prices for London tickets. U2 you should be ashamed of yourselves.”
Two additional shows should help satisfy some of the big demand for tickets though many fans will resent paying such high prices.
Another longstanding fan of the band said: “I’ve been going to U2 gigs since 1980. This is the first tour I’ve not been able to because of the ticket price.
“It’s a sad day, my pension just can’t pay these kinds of prices. Good luck to those who can, but I won’t be there.”
The shows in London will be the band’s first in the UK in nine years and will promote the band’s 16th studio album, entitled Carnaval De Luz, to be released on Friday, November 13, 2026.
It will be U2’s first new album for nine years and features a dozen brand new songs.
