IN PICTURES: Firefighters battle deliberate Walsall car blaze
A car was deliberately set alight in Walsall as fire crews stopped the blaze from spreading onto nearby buildings.
The incident, took place just after 9pm last night in a residential estate just off Bescot Road in Pleck.
Assertive action from firefighters prevented the flames from moving onto an adjacent fenced bin storage area - which could subsequently have led to the fire spreading onto nearby flats.

The blaze utterly devastated the white Volkswagen car as glass from the windows covered the nearby road and pathway.
One fire engine - including five firefighters - attended the scene to extinguish the fire.
Matthew Smith, spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said: "We received a call yesterday evening at 9.15pm - it was a 999 call to a car fire on Bescot Road in Pleck, Walsall.

"West Midlands Fire Service sent one fire engine from Walsall which included five firefighters.
"There was one car on fire at the scene. Firefighters were wearing breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to tackle the blaze.
"The fire was believed to have been started deliberately so we requested police attendance."
It comes after an arson attack at a car body repair shop in Willenhall wrecked the cars of six customers and plunged the business into chaos.
Police studyed CCTV footage in a bid to track down an arsonist who started a major blaze last week at Unique Bodyworks on the Willenhall Lane Industrial Estate.
The culprit was seen breaking the windows of cars and pouring petrol into them before setting them alight.
Six vehicles were ablaze with smoke and flames shooting 20 feet into the air when fire crews from Bloxwich and Walsall reached the scene.
