Wolves midfielder agrees loan move away

Wolves midfielder Marshall Munetsi has agreed a loan move to Paris FC.

The 29-year-old is set to move back to France less than a year since making the switch to the Premier League and will move to the capital to join the side placed 15th in Ligue 1.

His full salary is being covered by Paris FC, who have also paid Wolves a loan fee, but there is no option for them to buy Munetsi permanently.

The Zimbabwean international is now set for his medical imminently as he completes a loan move away from Wolves.

His departure also opens up space in Wolves' registered Premier League squad for them to sign a senior non-homegrown player.

They currently have no space to recruit players in that category without offloading first.

Munetsi completed a deadline day switch to Wolves in early February last year in a £15million move from French side Reims.

He was a regular for Vitor Pereira but has often been benched by Rob Edwards, before picking up a calf injury.

That knock meant he missed the Africa Cup of Nations and he has not featured for Wolves since December 3.

He has played 31 times for Wolves, getting four goals and two assists.
