Wolverhampton cocktail bar closes doors five months after zero hygiene rating
The Parisian was handed a zero star food hygiene rating in November 2025
A popular cocktail bar and bottomless brunch spot in Wolverhampton has been forced to close its doors permanently.
The Parisian on Queen Square in the city centre has been spotted empty and stripped of its former signage just five months after the Express and Star reported it had been handed a zero star food hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency.
It had become a popular spot in the city centre after opening in November 2018, regularly hosting birthday parties and events on weekends and bank holidays.
The Parisian was best known for its ‘Bottomless Brunch’ offerings, where customers could enjoy one-and-a-half hours of unlimited cocktails and prosecco, plus a sharing food board, for £44.95 per person.
The news of the closure prompted reaction from disappointed people on social media, with one Facebook user saying: “I DJ’d that bar for close to five years and the place was amazing, I really miss it.”
Another commented: “I know, absolutely gutted. When l was up there Saturday and saw it was shut...l thought maybe a refurbishment. Such a lovely place.”
One person said: “Didn’t it get a 0 rating at the back end of last year? Hardly a surprise it’s gone.”
The Parisian becomes the latest Wolverhampton spot to close, following Kipsies Bar (formerly the Dog and Doublet) which closed late last year.
