Wolverhampton children's home sold after attracting 90 potential buyers

A Wolverhampton children's home has been sold after attracting interest from 90 potential buyers.

Skyline Child Care, which operates a two-child care home, has been bought by Pinar Care for an undisclosed sum.

The home, which can accommodate two children aged between eight and 18, has been owned by Parvesh Sharma since 2017.

It operates from a semi-detached property dating from the 1940s, which was converted for use as a children's residential care home after Mr Sharma took over the business.

The service employs a team of 18 people, including nine permanent support workers providing day and night cover.

It was rated 'Good' at its most recent Ofsted inspection in 2025.

Mr Sharma has now sold the business after deciding to pursue other opportunities outside the children's social care sector.

He said: "After many rewarding years of owning and developing Skyline Child Care, I felt that the time was right to pursue new business opportunities outside the children's social care sector.

"Since founding Skyline Child Care, we have invested significantly in the home, creating a high-quality, safe and homely environment for the children and young people we support.

"We have also prioritised staff development through training and career progression, building a committed and skilled team.

"I am incredibly proud of the reputation Skyline Child Care has established.

"As the home moves into its next chapter under new ownership, I am confident that the strong foundations we have built will support continued growth and progression. I wish the new owners and the whole team every success for the future."

The sale was handled by specialist business property adviser Christie & Co, which said the home attracted 90 enquiries during the marketing process.

It has been bought by Pinar Care, with executive director Louise Grant saying the acquisition formed part of the company's plans for growth.

She said: "We are delighted to welcome Skyline Child Care into the Pinar Care family.

"We would like to thank Parvesh and the wider team for the dedication and commitment they have shown in building such a successful service.

"Our priority is to maintain the excellent standards already in place while continuing to invest in the home, its staff team and the young people it supports.

"This acquisition represents an important step in Pinar Care's growth strategy, and we look forward to building on the strong foundations that have been created at Skyline."

Jassi Sunner, director of childcare and education at Christie & Co, said operational children's homes rarely came onto the market and consequently tended to attract strong interest.

He said: "Skyline Child Care was a great example of this in practice. Over the entire marketing campaign, we received 90 enquiries in total from a range of different buyers.

"The main attraction was a children's home in the Midlands with an outstanding reputation. Our client had really created a very attractive proposition.

"Having carefully vetted each enquiry, we eventually agreed a deal with Pinar Care, who are a new entity but very proactive in the UK market."

The home was sold for an undisclosed price.
