Water returns to Wave Close in Walsall after hundreds of residents suffered week-long outage
Landlords of the block of flats that was left without water for more than a week have said water has been restored for the residents effected.
Residents living in Walsall's Wave Close apartments were left without water for more than a week after a power cut 'shorted' several components of an industrial water pump supplying their building.
The incident meant that those living in the building were left filling their water bottles from two water bowsers that were parked on the sites carpark, as well as using one of the supplied portable toilets, despite the freezing temperatures.
Landlords, Green Square Accord, have now said that the water flow has been restored to the properties following repair work by maintenance teams.

Green Square Accord said: "I can confirm the water supply is back on at Wave Close."
The update comes after residents were left using the water bowsers and portable toilets while the spare parts were delivered from Germany, leading to many using braving the freezing temperature to get a drink.
One resident, who wanted to speak anonymously, was forced to move into a hotel with their young children, paying almost £150 to 'just have a warm shower'.
"We just couldn't stay in there. We tried to power through but it was so depressing for the kids" said the resident "We punched a few holes in a bottle and made a make-shift shower, but it was like living in the dark ages."

Many of the residents chose to stay with family during the period, with one woman choosing to live with her mother, only returning to the property today when the water was fixed.
Gemma Walker, who lives in the property with her partner, said: "It was horrible there. You couldn't really wash your clothes, you had to hand-wash them. My grandma was laughing because it was something she would have done in the 50s.
"I'm glad it's sorted now, and it's not really anyone's fault, they [Green Square Accord] did what they could do. But it could have been handled faster I think."
When asked if residents could expect any form of compensation for the time they stayed in the property without water, Green Square Accord declined to comment.
