The M6 in Staffordshire was closed in both directions between junction 14 Creswell and junction 15 Hanchurch due to a police led incident.

“A woman was brought to a place of safety and left in the care of paramedics. We would like to thank drivers for their patience whilst this incident was brought to a safe conclusion.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to a concern for welfare at the junction of Beechdale Lane and the M6 near Swynnerton at 6.06pm and sent an ambulance to the scene.
