Rail disruption in the West Midlands after train becomes blocked between Birmingham and Hamstead
Rail replacement services have been put into place in the West Midlands after a train became blocked between Birmingham and Hamstead.
West Midlands Railway have warned of disruption to regular rail travel after a train broke down on the line.
The train operator has said that due to a broken-down train, the line between Hamstead and Birmingham New Street has been blocked.

The group has said that rail replacement coaches have been put into place between Walsall and Rugeley Trent Valley, with ticket acceptance also running with National Express West Midlands buses between Birmingham and Walsall.
A railway spokesperson said: "Broken down train between Hamstead and Birmingham New Street.
"Due to this, the line is blocked.
"Rail replacement coaches will run between Walsall and Rugeley Trent Valley. Ticket acceptance is in place with NXWM buses between Birmingham and Walsall."
