Long queues on M6 and M5 after early morning crash near Wednesbury
There were long queues on the M6 and M5 in the West Midlands this morning after a crash left a lane blocked.
The crash on the northbound M6 at around 6.30am today (Wednesday) between Junction 8 for the M5 and Junction 9 for Wednesbury left one lane closed and traffic backed up on the M6 towards Junction 6 for Birmingham.
There were also long queues on the northbound M5, with queues back to Junction 1 for West Bromwich and Birmingham.

Traffic England said in a statement: "Long delays and one lane closed due to an accident on M6 northbound from Junction 8 M5 to Junction 9 for Wednesbury.
"Congestion to halfway back to Junction 6 for Spaghetti Junction, with the M5 crawling back to Junction 1 for West Bromwich and Birmingham."
The incident had been cleared and traffic moving back to normal speeds just after 8am.
