Traffic delays on approach to M5 in Sandwell after van breaks down
The van was reported to have broken down on the right lane of the southbound carriageway.
Motorists heading towards the M5 in Sandwell faced delays due to a van breaking down.
West Midlands Roads said the van had broken down on the right lane of the A41 Expressway southbound on the approach to M5 junction 1 just after 9am and said congestion was building on the approach.
A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: “There is congestion on the A41 Expressway southbound on the approach to M5 junction 1.
“This is due to a broken down van in the right lane.”
A later update at 9.39am said the van had been recovered and the road was back to normal.
