The little-known waterfall on the Black Country border that is a perfect tranquil escape

Sitting on the Black Country-Staffordshire border Wordsley Waterfall is among the region’s best kept secrets

Beauty spot Wordsley Waterfall near Stourbridge is among the favourite retreats for walking enthusiasts in the area.

Situated on the edge of the Black Country, it is very popular with hikers and can be found by following the path alongside the River Stour from near Stourbridge Arm Canoe Club off Kinver Street.

This new footage from Express & Star videographer Martyn Greswolde capture the water flowing well, despite the recent sweltering temperatures and reports of falling reservoir levels.

It is among some pretty stunning falls dotted across the wider region.

While Wordsley itself is within the Dudley borough, the waterfall location - which has a Dudley postcode, DY8 5HS - is within the South Staffordshire District.
