Stafford pub's bid to remain open until 4.30am
A town centre pub in Stafford is seeking to open until 4.30am
A Staffordshire pub is seeking to extend its opening hours to 4.30am at weekends.
The Dog House pub in Stafford has applied to the borough council to open from 8am to 4.30am on Fridays and Saturdays, and to open until 3am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
If the licence is approved, the pub on the corner of Martin Street and St Martin’s Place would be allowed to play recorded music and serve drinks until 4am.

A previous bid by the pub to open until 2am was refused in 2022, after concerns were raised about potential noise nuisance for nearby residents.
At the moment the pub opens until 1am.
The application will now be considered by the council’s licensing department.
