Staffordshire housebuilder retains top customer satisfaction rating
Staffordshire-headquartered Cameron Homes has retained its five-star customer satisfaction rating for the eighth successive year.
The star rating scheme, run by the Home Builders Federation (HBF), has revealed 98 per cent of customers would recommend the family-owned housebuilder to a friend - one of the highest scores in the UK.
The HBF scheme awards stars for customer satisfaction, based on homeowner feedback in an independent survey. Surveys are sent out to purchasers eight weeks after they have taken occupation of their new home and – in a first for this past year – again at nine months. The blended score ascertains satisfaction levels with the build quality of the property and the service received. Cameron Homes’ combined score of 4.27, places it well above the five-star threshold of 4.15.

Established in 1994, Burntwood-based Cameron Homes is on track to build more than 200 quality homes in 2026, to achieve a turnover in excess of £100 million. Seven live developments are open to the public in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire, with a further five being launched this year. Part of the Tara Group, the firm is targeting a £140 million turnover by 2030. To aid this expansion, there is a £36 million pot to fund new land acquisitions across central, East and South Midlands.
Paul Morrissey, Cameron Homes’s operations director, said: “We are absolutely delighted with how our customers have rated us as a five-star housebuilder for an eighth successive year. The whole industry has been getting used to the HBF’s new blended score star rating calculation, with customers now surveyed at both eight weeks and nine months. With more data to digest, the key takeaways for us are that Cameron’s build quality score at eight weeks is a staggering 100 per cent. And, our ‘recommend a friend’ score is 98 per cent this year, which is the highest we’ve ever achieved in our 32 years of housebuilding.
“Retaining and bettering our HBF five-star customer satisfaction rating means the world to us. It reflects our continued investment in the design, build quality and customer journey before, during and after completion. To achieve an exemplary approval rating of 4.27 has taken hard work, skill and solid commitment from the entire team and I am immensely proud of the dedication shown.”
Guy Bebbington, managing director for Cameron Homes, added: “We take great pride in building hand-crafted homes with traditional character. Retaining our five-star status is the result of our team – especially our sales, production and customer care colleagues – working tirelessly together to deliver the best possible home and service to our customers. Collectively, we will continue to grow Cameron Homes by staying true to our values: more homes, same heart.”
The average selling price for Cameron Homes’ two, three, four and five-bedroom houses and bungalows averaged out to £448,000 over the past 12 months.
The business has three live developments in Nottinghamshire and two within Staffordshire. At Lawnswood in Branston, prices start from £335,000 for a three-bedroom detached Chapman house. While at Octara Court in Yoxall, prices start from £750,000 for a three-bedroom 1,862 sq ft executive detached home with garage.
