More than 100 homes are soon to be erected on a strip of green belt in Walsall.

New pictures have shown the final days for a stretch of green belt land on Longwood Drive, Walsall, which is soon to be transferred into 115 homes under a 'controversial' council scheme

Plans for the proposed build were originally refused by Walsall Council on June 19, 2025, with the council citing concerns over increased traffic, as well as issues surrounding the impact on wildlife habitats and trees.

Objections were received by 235 members of the public, Walsall and Bloxwich MP Valarie Vaz, as well as statutory consultees and Walsall Council's planning officers.
