The Labour deputy leader was spotted sitting in front of Pippa Middleton during British number one Andy Murray's match against Dustin Brown yesterday.
But the West Bromwich East MP's appearance in the prestigious seats was mocked on social media.
Andy Mullaney wrote on Twitter: "Surely it can't be Tom Watson worshipping at the capitalist temple that is Wimbledon? For the few, not the many."
Phillip Wood added: "Socialism doesn't go as far as declining a front row Royal Box seat at Wimbledon."
The Royal Box is reserved for use by the Royal Family and other distinguished guests invited by the All England Club.
