Police hit out at ‘completely false’ migrant claims after baby’s death in Great Wyrley
All four people arrested at the scene remain on conditional police bail while enquiries continue
Police have hit out at "completely false" claims circulating online about four people arrested following the tragic death of a baby in Great Wyrley.
Officers have warned that disinformation suggesting the four people arrested in connection with the death are migrants could damage the ongoing investigation and cause further distress to the baby's family.
All four people arrested at the scene remain on conditional police bail while enquiries continue.

In a statement, police said: "We're aware of disinformation circulating online suggesting that the four people arrested in connection with the tragic death of a baby in Great Wyrley are migrants.
"This is completely false.
"This type of information can be incredibly damaging to an ongoing investigation and can directly impact on our ability to gather evidence and secure outcomes."
Police urged members of the public to consider the source of information they encounter online and not to share speculation surrounding the sensitive investigation.
The statement continued: "We completely understand and accept that people are concerned about this incident and are naturally going to search for further information.
"We cannot, however, accept false claims that are purposely shared online with the intention of misleading the public."
Officers added that speculative claims could hinder their ability to investigate the baby's death as well as causing "significant distress" to the family.
The force said the four people arrested remain on conditional police bail and that further updates will be issued when officers are able to provide them.
