West Midlands pub reopens after refurb with stylish new look - take a look inside

A West Midlands pub has reopened with a stylish new look after a three-and-a-half-week transformation.

The White Swan, in Edgbaston, Birmingham, has a stylishly restored bar with plush seating, and a rejuvenated private dining area which seats up to 22 people.

The extensive refurbishment includes a range of upgrades such as a refreshed patio area at the front of the pub seating up to 50 people, complete with new plants, fencing and lighting.

Other changes to The White Swan include an updated striking dark blue and golden exterior and a rejuvenated bar area.

The refurbishment has also led to the creation of several new jobs in both the front-of-house and kitchen teams.

Dishes on the menu include indulgent favourites such as pan-roasted lamb rump, tarragon-battered line-caught haddock with triple-cooked chips, roasted cauliflower, and signature duo of pork and scallops.

Guests can also enjoy the fixed-price lunch and early evening menu, from Monday to Friday, with two courses from £21.95 or three courses from £25.95, from midday to 6.30pm.

Guests also have the chance to enjoy the best of The White Swan's new menu from the comfort of their own homes, thanks to click-and-collect or delivery via the Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat platforms.

On Sundays, guests can also treat themselves to the best of the pub's menu via the Too Good To Go app, enabling them to do their bit to fight food waste while enjoying classic pub dishes.

General manager Ben Pountney, who has been at the pub since November 2025, said: “We’re delighted to welcome both new and familiar faces to the beautifully refreshed venue, The White Swan.
