A Wolverhampton Motoring History Display, produced by pupils of East Park Junior School, marked 50 years since the last Sunbeam came off the production line. Celebrations also included preserved models of the famous car and ex-employees of the former Sunbeam factory, were encouraged to take part. The photograph shows teacher David Whyley with some of his pupils, in April 1985.

Six schoolchildren from Chadsway Junior School, Wednesfield, planted 1,000 bulbs as part of a scheme to brighten up the area for the town's millennium in November 1985. Pictured is Palvinder Banara, Jagjit Mattu, Ranjit Dhesi, Kulvinder Herr, Nirander Rai and Makhvinder Khosse.
