Special 21st birthday party to remember 'beautiful life' of tragic teen killed in West Midlands crash
The event will raise money for a charity which supports families bereaved by road deaths
A party is being held to celebrate what would have been the 21st birthday of a popular girl killed in a crash by her boyfriend.
Lily-May Vaughan was just 17 when she died in a crash in Shawbury on February 4, 2023.
The driver, her boyfriend Logan Addison, was jailed for causing her death by dangerous driving.
Lily-May, who went to school in Wolverhampton and lived in the Kidderminster area, loved animals and going for walks with her mum Leanne and her cocker spaniel Sadie.

She dreamed of one day running her own business and living by the sea.
However, all that was snatched away due to the reckless actions of Addison.
Since Lily-May’s tragic death, her mum Leanne has thrown herself into fundraising for good causes in her memory, and raising awareness about the dangers that can come with young drivers showing off among peers.
Now she is holding a special 21st birthday celebration for Lily-May on Saturday, September 5 at Cookley Village Hall, near Kidderminster.

“Family, friends and our local community will come together for LilyFest, a special evening celebrating what would have been Lily-May’s 21st birthday,” Leanne said.
“The event is being held not only to remember Lily-May’s beautiful life, but also to raise funds for Road to Change C.I.C, an organisation that provides vital support to families whose lives have been changed forever by road death.
“The evening will feature live music from The Puddled People, a special performance of a song written in Lily-May’s memory by her friend and local musician, Kane, a raffle with more than 60 prizes generously donated by local businesses and members of the community, and an opportunity for everyone to come together in remembrance and hope.

“Every ticket sold and every raffle ticket purchased helps to support Road to Change’s work with bereaved families and keeps Lily-May’s legacy alive through positive change.”
Lilyfest will be on from 6.30pm to 11.30pm. Tickets cost £10.
