When it comes to looking for the perfect pet - sometimes it’s the ones you least expect to capture your heart.
In one West Midlands town, there are nine adorable furry friends - which have been deemed ‘underdogs’ - just waiting to find their forever home this May Bank Holiday weekend.
And some of them, who are currently living in Kenilworth Dogs Trust kennels, have quirky names - such as the hilariously named Captain Porkchop.
To rehome a dog with Dogs Trust in the UK, contact Dogs Trust via their “Giving up your dog” page to start the process, have an assessment with their rehoming team, and arrange to bring your dog into their care (see the official steps here: https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/rehoming/giving-up-your-dog/our-process)

9. Meet Milly, a 2–5 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who is a shy but sweet girl looking for a calm, adult-only home. She takes time to build trust but becomes affectionate and playful once comfortable. Milly is making good progress with training and enjoys food rewards and games. She needs to be the only pet in a quiet home with a secure garden and patient adopters.
