New signage for popular Birmingham nightclub goes up after announcing another move
Snobs will reopen in its new location tomorrow (September 17).
New signage has gone up for an iconic Birmingham nightclub after it announced it was moving again.
Snobs, which first opened in 1972, is a popular nightclub in the city centre - particularly with students and has has a number of homes over the years.
It was originally located opposite Paradise Circus but was forced to move in 2014 to make way for a hotel and apartments.
A decade later, in March 2024, the nightclub had to relocate to the former Velvet Music Rooms at Broad Street due to plans to demolish the Ringway Centre to make way for flats were announced.

Now, it has moved just down the street to take over three rooms over two floors in the old Players Bar - with owner Wayne Tracey focusing on saving the venue from the threat of developments.
Excitement is building as it is scheduled to reopen tomorrow (September 17) and new signage has just been erected.
The club shared a photo of the progress on social media, with fans taking to the comments saying they “can’t wait.” Another joked about the location by the Figure of Eight Wetherspoons, writing: “Straight out of spoons into snobs, carnage.”
The move was announced on social media at the start of September, it was explained that the move was just a short walk away down Broad Street but that the business will own the new building to ensure “no future threat of redevelopment” forcing them out.
The statement added: “New Snobs will be everything you love about Snobs & more, including a few surprises from the original venue. We can’t wait for you to see what we’ve done with the place. Snobs Forever x.”
Snobs remains open at its current location on 200 Broad Street, B15 1SU until the move on Thursday, September 17 when it'll be at 240 Broad Street, B1 2HG.
