Wolves team news: Key man returns against Cardiff

Cesar Peixoto is aiming for a better performance at Molineux.

Fer Lopez is back in the Wolves starting XI for Saturday’s visit of Cardiff City.

The playmaker, an unused substitute in last weekend’s 1-0 win over Watford due to a minor calf problem, is in the team at the expense of Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

It is the only change from the XI which started against the Hornets.

Boss Cesar Peixoto has also been boosted by the return of Rodrigo Gomes to the bench, after missing four matches with an ankle injury.

Wolves are looking to extend a three-match unbeaten run to keep the pace with the Championship’s top two.

Peixoto’s men sit fourth in the table but the mood at Molineux has been uneasy, with the head coach booed during the win over Watford.
