Motorists warned of diversions after road near Brierley Hill closed for emergency works

The section of the high street will be closed for nearly a week, with diversions in place.

A section of road outside Brierley Hill is set to be closed to allow for essential water repair works.

The section of road on High Street in Brockmoor was closed just after 12pm on Tuesday due to the works by South Staffs Water and is set to be closed until 12pm on Monday, September 21.

Motorists have been warned of diversions in Brockmoor via High Street, Station Road, Pheasant Street, Leys Road, and vice versa.

A spokesman for Dudley Council said: “The restriction is required to safely facilitate a water repair."
