Footpath being dug up in Wolverhampton for utility work

A footpath off a Wolverhampton street is being dug up for utility work in the coming days.

The footpath in Brooklands Parade which runs between Deans Road and the A454 Willenhall Road, Deansfield, will be temporarily shut between January 5 and 9. Residents will be able to walk via Hawley Road and Atherstone Road instead. 

Wolverhampton Council posted on X: "@WolvesCouncil National Grid works mean the temporary closure of the footpath in Brooklands Parade from tomorrow Monday January 5 to Friday January 9.

National Grid workers carried out repairs.

"A pedestrian diversion will operate via Hawley Road, Atherstone Road, Brooklands Parade and vice versa."

The work is being carried out by National Grid.
