Five Dudley schools celebrated for progress on attendance
National awards celebrate the work of pupils, families and staff to help children make the most of their time in school
Five schools in Dudley Academies Trust have received national awards recognising their work to improve pupil attendance.

Beacon Hill Academy and St James Academy were recognised for significant improvements in attendance, while The Link Academy was also praised for its progress.
Kates Hill Primary School received an award for improving attendance, while Blowers Green Primary School was recognised for its summer term attendance.
The awards highlight efforts across the schools to help pupils attend regularly, build positive routines and benefit from their education.
The trust said staff work closely with pupils and families to understand individual circumstances, celebrate good attendance and offer practical support where needed.

Tracy Hill, strategic attendance lead for Dudley Academies Trust, said: “These awards are a wonderful reflection of the shared commitment to attendance across our trust.
“Our school attendance leads work tirelessly to support learners and families, sharing good practice and providing thoughtful, practical help so that every learner has the best possible opportunity to attend, belong and thrive.
“I am incredibly grateful for their dedication and for the teamwork shown by colleagues in all of our schools.”
