Burst pipe causes pressure issues to homes and traffic delays in Wolverhampton

Engineers have been working at the scene to fix a burst pipe which has left an area of Wolverhampton with low supply.

The burst pipe was reported to have happened at the junction of Himley Crescent and Patricia Avenue in the Goldthorn Park area of Wolverhampton at around 7am on Tuesday.

Engineers from Severn Trent Water have been working at the scene to repair the pipe, with temporary traffic lights put in place around the area.

A spokesman for Severn Trent said: “Our teams are working on a burst water pipe on the junction of Himley Crescent and Patricia Avenue in Wolverhampton.

"No customers have been off supply, but some may have experienced lower pressure than usual. 

"Due to the location of the emergency works and for the safety if the team and the public, traffic lights have been set up to carry out our repairs. 

"Our priority now is to get everything fixed and put back to normal as quickly as possible. 

"We thank everyone for their patience while this is ongoing.”
