20 metre swimming pool planned by owner of house in upmarket area of Wolverhampton
A businessman is seeking permission to build an indoor swimming pool at his house in Wolverhampton.
Retired insurance broker Darren Hollinshead has applied for permission to build a 20-metre (22-yard) pool at Highfield Lodge in Highfields, Wightwick.
If approved, the timber-clad poolhouse will include a small kitchen and lounge area. It will feature black window frames, and skylights to a pitched roof.
The application also includes a car port, which will be constructed in a similar timber style.
The scheme will now be considered by Wolverhampton Council's planning department.
