'Large scale incident' declared in Walsall as 10 fire crews attend blaze

A large fire broke out at an industrial unit in Walsall last night.

The blaze is believed to have started in a factory at Newfield Close, Bloxwich in Walsall.

West Midlands Fire Service posted an update on X at 9.32pm on Sunday, December 14 confirming that they had 10 crews in attendance at the 'large scale incident.'

They added: " We are advising that members of the public avoid the area, and local residents to close doors and windows."

The fire service added that they are 'making good progress' at the incident. Further updates have been requested.
